Conference Venue |
The IUVA 2026 Americas Conference will be held at the Dalhousie University Student Union. The newly renovated building is located walking distance from the conference hotel (The Lord Nelson Hotel and Suites) and downtown Halifax, and easily accessible by public transit. IUVA will be taking over the entire second and third floor of the building for conference programming. The first floor is home to a variety of food stalls (including Canadian classic, Tim Hortons) as well as a cozy café with ample seating and a full menu. Address: |

FLYING TO HALIFAXHalifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) is located in Goffs, Nova Scotia, a roughly 30 minute drive northeast of the city of Halifax. Conference members will receive exclusive discounts when flying with Air Canada to attend the 2026 Americas Conference. Getting to/from the Airport:PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: Halifax Transit Regional Express 320 route provides public transit service between Halifax Stanfield and Downtown Halifax. RENTAL CAR: The rental car counters are conveniently located on the Lower Level of the Airport Parkade. Rental companies include Alamo/National, Avis, Budget, Dollar/Thrifty, Enterprise and Hertz. RIDE SHARE: Uber and Lyft are available and typically cost CAD$55-60 to travel to Downtown Halifax. TAXI/LIMO: Taxis and limos are available on site. For a fixed rate, we recommend the grab-and-go option by asking for a taxi from the Ground Transportation booth in arrivals. Rates will depend on the drop-off location starting at CAD$64 for downtown Halifax (most taxi companies take credit, debit, and cash). |
