2025 IUVA Asian Pacific Regional Symposium

The Environmental Engineering Society of Singapore (EESS), International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA), and Centre for Water Research (CWR) in National University of Singapore (NUS) are delighted to announce the 2025 IUVA Asian Pacific Symposium, scheduled to take place in NUS, Singapore on July 7-8, 2025.

This symposium serves as a pivotal platform for the presentation and discussion of cutting-edge UV technology developments and applications. Attendees will have the valuable opportunity to network with academics, scientists, engineers and industry peers across the Asian Pacific region, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange in the field of UV technology.

Call for Abstract

The 2025 IUVA Asian Pacific Symposium, jointly hosted by the Environmental Engineering Society of Singapore (EESS), International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA), and Centre for Water Research (CWR) in National University of Singapore (NUS), invites researchers, practitioners and industry experts to submit abstracts for presentation at this esteemed event.

We welcome abstract submissions that showcase pioneering research, innovative applications, and impactful case studies in the field of UV technology. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Advancements in UV disinfection and oxidation
  • UV technology for water and wastewater treatment, water reclamation and reuse
  • UV technology for air and surface disinfection
  • Novel UV lamp developments and applications
  • UV technology for healthcare and public health
  • Environmental and industrial applications of photochemical systems
Accepted abstracts will be presented in oral or as poster at the symposium, providing a platform for knowledge dissemination and fostering meaningful discussions among peers from the Asian Pacific region.

The format requirements for the abstract submission are as follows:

  • Abstracts are to be written in English.
  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12.
  • Abstracts are limited to a maximum of TWO PAGES (max. 800 words).
  • Authors should indicate their preference for either an Oral or Poster presentations.

Abstracts must include:

  • Title
  • Authors
  • Affiliation of the authors
  • Email of the corresponding author
  • One figure and/or table may be included.
