We advise delegates traveling to the United Arab Emirates to check for visit visa requirements before their scheduled travel. A detailed list of countries eligible for visa on arrival is shown below and countries that will need pre-arranged visa.
Citizens of the following countries can get a 90-day multiple entry visit visa, free of charge and valid for 6 months from the date of issue for a stay of 90 days.
Citizens of GCC countries do not require a visa or permit or to be sponsored by a national or resident in the UAE. They need to produce their GCC country passport or national ID card at the point of entry into the UAE.
For delegates whom are not GCC citizens but are GCC residents, obtaining a visa permit of entry is now possible online through the UAE Ministry of Interior online service. To learn more about the service and initiate the application online please click here.
It is not possible to process visit visa application for citizens of the following countries: Ethiopia, Syria, Nigeria, Libya, Tunisia and Bangladesh. We recommend Tunisians to apply by themselves via Emirates Airlines as this is possible since March 2017.
Delegates that have booked their hotel accommodation through the congress can request for their visa to be arranged with a fee of 550 AED. For more information, please contact Mickey Fortune (mfortune@iuva.org).
