Kati Y. Bell

CDM Smith
Dr. Bell is a Principal with CDM and her primary experience includes working with clients, regulators, subcontractors and manufacturers to select, design, implement, optimize and troubleshoot water/wastewater treatment processes to identify effective, efficient, sustainable solutions. Her experience and research on characterization of water and wastewater quality provides the background to support process selection to meet regulatory goals. Her work includes process focus areas including biological treatment and nutrient removal, membrane processes, sorption and advanced oxidation processes for microconstituents, and water/wastewater disinfection. In addition, she continues her early career research on characterization of natural organic matter and she has ongoing research into minimizing disinfection by-products and optimizing ultraviolet (UV) disinfection processes.
