Moving Forward: Sustainable UV Solutions to Meet Evolving Regulatory Challenges
August 12-14, 2012

PURPOSE OF THE CONFERENCE

The purpose of the IUVA 2012 Americas Conference is to provide a forum for scientists, engineers, government regulatory agencies, equipment manufacturers, and utilities who are interested in the use of UV technologies to protect human health and the environment from risks caused by pathogens and organic chemicals.

Building on its overall theme, "Moving Forward: Sustainable UV Solutions to Meet Evolving Regulatory Challenges”, the conference will focus on regulations and certifications driving the use of UV technologies for water/wastewater and other environmental applications. The event will emphasize how the UV industry is working toward lowering its carbon footprint and addressing the water-energy nexus. Technology trends will be highlighted, along with major developments in research and development.

Traditional UV applications will be discussed, including drinking water, wastewater, water reuse and advanced oxidation process (AOP) applications. In addition, a special focus will be dedicated to emerging UV applications such as aquatics, industrial water treatment, residential, and air treatment.

Washington, D.C. represents a special place for the IUVA; this is where the IUVA held its first world congress, in 2001. We hope you will join us to learn about the latest developments in the industry, exhibit your products and services, network with your industry colleagues, and celebrate our birthplace.
