CEU & PDH Credits

Continuing Education Units/Professional Development Hours

Each attendee will receive a form in their registration packet to track their Professional Development Hours (PDH) and/or Continuing Education Units (CEU) credits. The total number of Plenary and Technical Track hours possible to attend is 18 hours (for the August 12-14, 2012 meeting).

Both the session content and the PDH and CEU credits for the Plenary Session and the Technical Tracks have been verified for Professional Engineers and other certification as applicable, and signed by Paul Swaim, P.E., and President of IUVA.

Each attendee will self-authenticate and report actual attendance credit hours to their respective licensing Boards.

Please Note:  Each attendee is responsible for submitting his/her own PDHs and CEUs after the Conference. The IUVA cannot guarantee that all boards will accept all PDH and CEU credits awarded. Please check with your licensing board for more information.

Notes about Counting CEU/PDH credits:

  1. A PDH is typically defined as one hour that is spent engaged in an activity that contributes to the advancement or enhancement of professional skills or scientific knowledge of a professional engineer.
  2. One CEU is the equivalent of 10 hours of training or formal instruction.  These are distributed for structured, relevant professional training above and beyond that of initial certification or employment in a particular field.
  3. The exhibition provides the opportunity to see the newest developments in water and wastewater technology and see and hear firsthand demonstrations from the experts. A contact hour is defined as one hour spent engaged in an activity that contributes to the professional skills of the participant.
